MessageThe LSE cannot support this bill as we feel it gives too much power to the state and that these powers could be manipulated by the government, especially during an election in order to silence a party they disagree with.

MessageWhile we agree that there is a problem with misinformation in advertising we feel that it is not up to the state to decide what should be allowed to pass and what should not. Any consumer who responds to an advert should not expect the government to deal with it and any advertising company that misinforms also does so at their own risk as they can be sued for it by consumers.
We also agree with the the LSE in that the state could manipulate the powers. The sort of advert manipulation and all other media manipulation that went on in America during the 50s should never happen in new Endralon.

MessageThe setting of standards would not be done by the state itself but rather by an independent advertising standards agency, removing the threat of Governmet misuse. Additionaly the FPM's assertion that "any advertising company that misinforms also does so at their own risk as they can be sued for it by consumers." is incorrect as no such provision currently exists in law, and that is precisely what this bill aims to enable.

Random fact: "Game mechanics comes first." For example, if a currently-enforced bill sets out one law, then a player cannot claim the government has set out a contradictory law.
