Bill: Repeal ID Cards Decision

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative-Libertarian Party (UM)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2383

Description[?]:

The current situation is futile. Issuing ID Cards on a voluntary basis does not work. If they are voluntary, what is the point in them? We would prefer to see everybody with them than just some people. It is absolutely ridiculous how it stands. We therefore think that nobody should be issued with ID Cards.

MessageMay I remind RiR that Identity Cards are an extra sense of security for those who want them. Taking that security away would just be stupid, like taking a teddy from a toddler.

MessageYou're treating adults like children!

How does this make people more secure? It doesn't at all. It makes them less secure, because of a central database being held by the state. It opens these people up to exploitation.

Random fact: Particracy does not allow official national flags of real-life nations or flags which are very prominent and recognisable (eg. the flags of the European Union, the United Nations, Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union or the Confederate States of America).
