MessageWe could never agree to a cut in the Defense budget, no matter how small. The security of our nation comes at a premium and we will not stand by and watch our armed forces suffer at the hands of Liberal moneymen.

MessageIt's a 6% reduction. Just have the department cut back on paper-pushers, post-it notes & postage stamps -- you'll hardly notice the difference.

MessageAnother possibility would be to kick out all the fags and bitches to save on wages! We have been trying in recent years!

MessageIf that happened, then our military would have fewer people & therefore not be as strong. If replacements were hired, then there would be no change in our defenses at all. Cut back on the fat within the department -- that's what pretty well all of these spending cuts are intended to do. Notice that the biggest reductions of all were in our two portfolios: Internal Affairs cut back by 50% & Finance by 75%. These are both important departments, but do not need such big budgets to do their jobs well. The same can be said for most departments, including yours.

MessageWhilst the military would certainly be fewer in numbers with the homo plague ousted, we remain to be convinced that that would be to the detriment of our overall strength. In fact, we are of the opinion that unit cohesion and morale would be drastically improved.

MessagePerhaps we are both straying from the point -- such a small reduction in the Defense budget will by no means cripple our military strength, and will instead make the department more efficient. The portfolio is not even held by you, but rather by the Golden Capitalists, who seem determined to get as much mileage out of money as anyone. It is likely that our overall strength will increase substantially even with this minor cut.
You should also note that the Infrastructure & Health budgets -- both under your control -- have had their funding increased, the latter by 100 per cent. This Budget is good for you and for the well-being of the nation. Give it consideration.

MessageLook, the budgets for those departments are still 445 billion DRA, which is much more than is enough to provide excellent schools & research facilities. We simply believe that the 55 billion that we are removing is not needed, and right now is going to administration & bureaucracy. There is nothing worrying about this Budget, unless you're an overpaid & underworked civil servant.

MessageAnd we simply believe that the 55 billion that you are removing IS needed. Cutting their bdget will not lead to your penpushing-less heaven, it will lead to larger class sizes, poorly paid teachers and resource-less classrooms. Not to mention scientists without grants and developers without investments.

MessageThe budgets for those departments are still almost 450 billion DRA -- there will not be a funding shortage.

MessageAs with the tax reduction proposal, the support of the Golden Capitalists & United Undead is vital to the passage of this Act. Perhaps they may wish for even lower spending, but for now the two choices are expenditures of 840 billion DRA & 740 billion DRA. Surely their choice is a clear one.
