Message | This seems more neo-conservative than capitalistic! CINO (Capitalists in name only?). But, why not? Now that the leftists coalition has restricted free-speech and taken away private ownership of firearms; the extreme right can ban abortion. This country has quite expediously gone from one of largely libertine virtues to the virtues of P.C. fascists. Now, we can advance the wild-eyed agendas of the clerics, rabbis, imans, priests, reverends and assorted other religious nuts! |

Message | Now what is wrong with being religious. I do believe that these unborn children are just as alive as you and I. Murder is bad isn't it? Well why shouldn't abortion be too. Besides I do support it for medical emergencies. |

Message | Nothing is wrong with being religious unless you're trying to impose your religious doctrine and opinions on others -- especially via secular-government legislation. Aborting a fetus, which is not viable, is not murdering anymore than murdering cancer cells when you irradiate or cut them out (cancer cells are living too!). Furthermore, you are inviting the state into a women's personal medical decisions as well as those of the healthcare community. This opens a door for socialized medicine and government intrusion upon private medical records, diagnosis and genetic coding. So by your rationale, "killing" for medical emergencies is OK but never at anytime else? Keep religion and personal choice restricting legislation out of our legislature! |
