Message | Indefinite copyrights are harmful to innovation. The existence of a public domain and freedom of information are vital to allowing creators to be able to build on public knowledge. |

Message | The Moderates will support a limited rollback of the copyright laws. There does need to be an encouragement for people to innovate, which can be captured by both allowing the inventor the ability to reap his rewards for his creation, yet also allowing the chance for the rest of society to eventually be able to take advantage of his work, and further it. Overall, this will be good for society. We call the question. |

Message | Well sure, whats missing though is a time table for when copyright protection runs out. Also what about the little inventors who copyright material? Will they be given a chance to renew their copyright in the future? I agree with the essence of the law, but there isnt much meat to this. |

Message | The PoR brings up a good point. If the Communists are willing to add a provision giving the creator/his estate the right to hold a copyright for up to 25 years after the creator's death, then I will continue my support. Furthermore, I recommend a 10-year right on the patent, which should be sufficient time for the inventor to profit greatly from his invention. |

Message | Yes, we see your point. The law is not very specific. However, under current laws, a corporation is legally allowed to hold a copyright indefinitely, and this should not be allowed. All copyrights should eventually pass into the public domain, but not until a while after the holder's death. |

Message | in that case, the Moderates shall support the current proposal, and will add an additional resolution, to add a better definition to the law. |
