Bill: Beiteynu Resolution: Open Debate

Details

Submitted by[?]: Partie Démocratique Libéral

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2410

Description[?]:

Part I
WHEREAS the nation of Luthori has illegally attacked the Islamic Caliphate of Beiteynu

WHEREAS the international community has responded overwhelmingly in opposition to the invasion

RECOGNIZING that forced regime change is only acceptable in the most extreme of circumstances

WHEREAS such an invasion constitutes a threat to regional security

WHERAS the Accord des Nations Amicales requires that all member nations render military assistence to any other member nation which is attacked

RESOLVED that the Royaume Français de Rildanor and its allies should take whatever steps are deemed nessecary and legal to repulse all Luthori forces from the region.

Part II

WHERAS the Caliphate has employed questionable ((and somewhat familiar)) political means to cement the power of the ruling party: http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewtreaty.php?treatyid=592 and related 'treaties'

WHERAS allied nations have dedicated their own forces to the defense of Beiteynu in the name of that nations liberty

STRONGLY ENCOURAGES the government of Beiteynu to repeal these laws and grant political equality to minorities.

MessageDiscuss our course of action regarding this affair. Propose any changes you wish: this is a rough draft.

My reccomendation: We cannot allow Beiteynu to fall to Luthori. However, I am reluctant to simply throw increasing numbers of troops into the fray. I have thought about this, and concluded that the best course of action would be to secure a moderate troop committment from all nations in the region and ANA. We can do much more together then we can unilaterally, and we can end this. To convince any reluctant neighbors we should point out the significant threat to regional stability posed by Luthori imperialism coming to our continent.

To conclude: Luthori victory in Beiteynu will be bad for everyone in the country, and for all countries in the region. I hope all members of this chamber will work together and discuss (but quickly!) to determine the best course of action to accomplish our goals.

MessageWe agree with the bill in its entirety, but propose to send a minimum of 3000 more ground troops and more aircraft (fighters, bombers, etc) to Beiteynu.

MessageWith clear consensus, we will be increasing Rildanors military presence and lobbying for regional and allied nations to do the same.

MessageThis is only a technicality at this point, but I feel it is time to officially pass and archive this resolution.
