Bill: Gambling Regulation Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Söhne der Freiheit
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2087
Description[?]:
In order to bring more justice and give some more moderation to games of chance, we propose movement of all gambling into liscensed casinos. Private disputes which arise in private gambling pose too much of a threat of violence, and can cause vendettas. We recognize that most private gambling happens between friends, but there are certain seedier and malicious elements involved as well. |

Proposal[?] to change The right to gamble.
Old value:: Gambling is legal, but only in private homes and casinos with special licences.
Current: Gambling is legal, but only in private homes and casinos with special licences.

Message | But how do you enforce it? It would be a waste of police time trying to track down and get warrants to search every house where gambling goes on, and if they don't bother then nobody pays attention to the law anyway. |

Message | This law isn't meant to target the average joe. It's meant to target mob or gang run casinos operating in private homes. The charge could be added on to any disturbance where it was discovered they were gambling at the time, so in a way it would be a secondary charge and to close a loophole. |
