Message | Free room, free food, free education, and the opportunity to get a job! We are rewarding their crimes against LIkatonia and its people! These people are treated better than our poor! We must have reform! |

Message | No they are not. They have no freedom, their food and quarters are by no means nice, and they earn only a fraction of the minimum wage for law abiding citizens. We cannot force people to work. It is both cruel and difficult. The current way, they have an incentive to work, their work will therefore be of a higher quality and of more use to us. They also have a way to pay off any outstanding fines, which benefits all involved. When somebody has to use four exclamation marks within two lines, you know they have a weak argument. |

Message | "No they are not. They have no freedom, their food and quarters are by no means nice, and they earn only a fraction of the minimum wage for law abiding citizens" There are many people who live like this, but none of them get it for free. So why then should prisoners be given special treatment? What do you do about the people who choose not to work? Are you going to throw even more money at them in the vain hope that they do? These people are criminals- they chose a dishonest life rather than upright one. If you believe they're suddenly going to give it up and choose an honest vocation, then I have an oil rig in Hawaii i'd like to sell you. If someone wants to work of his own accord, let him, but there must be something in place to tackle the problem of those who don't want in. Your policy LPE, not only fails to recognize this, but does away with the problem by pretending that it doesn't exist. Talk about a weak argument ! |
