Message | Headlines: Even if our preferred option for tax cuts goes through, there will still be a surplus of about 90 billion KDI. We also propose a cuts is Defence spending, Finance Dept budget and Trade and Industry to the tune of 410 billion KDI This results in 500 billion KDI that can be re-prioritised: 200 billion to Health & Social Security 150 billion to Justice 100 billion to Internal Affairs 50 billion to Infrastructure. We present what we believe to be a balanced budget. |

Message | We feel it is bizarre to suggest a cut in the defence budget. Our region is prone to conflict and it seems shortsighted to suggest a defence cut. |

Message | The Nukes are expensive. We may be able to afford the defense cuts with less of these. |

Message | In fairness ending conscription would enable a cut in defence spending, although we are puzzled by the Communists decision to back this budget after their plans for rearmament. |

Message | We hope to make the region a little less prone to conflict by reducing the level of armaments here. |

Message | We have to vote against on account of the 25% cut in defence spending. We consider this ill-advised as it will drive up levels of unemployment, hurt our regular and nuclear capabilities and leave us threatened by the revived National Progressionist movement in Dorvik and the ever-looming threat of a fascist Dundorf and Rutania. |
