Status[?]: defeated

Voting deadline: January 2390
Description[?]:
The Military Restoration Act of 2389, as proposed by the Federal Progressive Party, aims to do the following: - end Valruzia's irresponsible disarmanent process, enacted by the many bills of the Pro People Party - restore Valruzia's century-old stockpile of nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) weapons - restore the right of the Valruzian military to employ NBC weapons in warfare - restore the right of the Valruzian scientific community to do research in NBC weapons - restore the right of the Valruzian military to purchase NBC weapons from other nations - begin the construction and restoration of Civil Defence Shelters across the nation - preserve the long-established defence industry in Valruzia - allow the free flow of arms into and out of Valruzia To this end, the Federal Progressive Party has listed down an array of proposals needed to stop this downward slide in Valruzia's military strength. "We MUST end this careless disarmanent of Valruzia right now, before it is too late. History has time and time again shown that we do not live in a totally peaceful neighbourhood. This irresponsible disarmanent of Valruzia not only makes our great Federation a juicy target for invasion, it may even ensure that in a hundred years' time, Valruzia may become nothing but a footnote in the pages of history, as a province of Likatonia or whatever." - Lord Valzacadar |

Message | I am a pacifist and a war abolitionist. I shall remain so unless I am convinced that such an approach is not practicable. Ethical principles and judgements, by definition, have to work for good in the world. The belief that human beings have a responsibility for one another’s well being is one that I share. I Sincerely believe that non-military physical intervention is not in fact a last resort but an earlier one. |

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining. |
Random quote: "I think the environment should be put in the category of our national security. Defense of our resources is just as important as defense abroad. Otherwise, what is there to defend?" - Robert Redford |
