Message | The current laws allow for our nation to fall victim to any attack. Especially as Likatonia is our neighbour, we must be able to defend ourselves. |
Date | 16:48:14, April 17, 2007 CET | From | Democratic Party for a New Society(DPNS) | To | Debating the Nationalist Manifesto - Military |
Message | We are pacifist and war abolitionist. We shall remain so unless we are convinced that such an approach is not practicable. Ethical principles and judgements, by definition, have to work for good in the world. The belief that human beings have a responsibility for one another’s well being is one that we share. I Sincerely believe that non-military physical intervention is not in fact a last resort but an earlier one. For that reasons we, the Pro People Party, vote no! Pro People Party |

Message | Look at our military laws! They are virtuall asking for us to fall victim to external imperialist forces. Valruzia shall not fall whilst we breath! |

Message | OOC - just because war isn't an explicit function, doesn't mean to say nations cannot RP, weren't you here when Likatonia (our North-Wetsern neighbours) wanted to expand into 'Greater Likatonia' by invading their neighbours? |

Message | Also, maybe it will be possible in some, say, 40 or 50 years. And if you want your and Our country to be defenceless in order to avoid war and terror, it's just silly. What if the Likatonians decide to invade Valruzia, the greatest (and biggest) nation of Terra? Not only every Valruzian will become slave of a militarist reign of terror, but also Likatonia (just an example, we don't expect them to be cracy warmongers) will be more powerful than before and more able to bring war and death to every single country of Terra. |

Message | But We don't like this bill very much too. We don't know if we will support it yet. |
Date | 18:14:02, April 23, 2007 CET | From | Nationalist Liberal Alliance | To | Debating the Nationalist Manifesto - Military |
Message | We must build a strong military or we will be overpowered by those Likatonians. We must be able to hold our borders if the enemy attacks like the Spartans. THIS IS FOR VALRUZIA! Haha |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
