MessageKids are sponges when it comes to their surroundings. Having kids hear the anthem inspires pride of country in them. Are you against this?

MessageNo, but children should not be forced to do something they may not understand.

MessageThey aren't being forced to do anything. We're simply playing the anthem every day. If they really don't understand it, then they will simply accept it as white noise. The children should be instilled with feelings of patriotism. There is nothing wrong with that. It will end up making them better people. It doesn't mean that they'll become zombies. It doesn't mean they won't think for themselves. It means that they will learn to love their country and possibly use it as a motivation to conduct themselves well on behalf of it.

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature.
