Message | Sounds okay to us. |
Date | 23:03:11, April 20, 2007 CET | From | Party of Moderates | To | Debating the Adoption Eligibility Act |
Message | Hm, we can support this, but we would like it if it was stated in a resolution of this bill saying that couples will be given preference when adopting, and the requirements for single parents shall be more strict. |

Message | The TCP has a few reservations about this bill - we feel it is a little bit too all-encompassing and may prove dangerously broad and illusive. For example, the TCP does not agree with homosexuals being able to adopt children, and whilst we are not immediately opposed to single parents adopting children, we fear for the child's upbringing in that scenario. The TCP believe that the most healthy family environment is one consisting of a mother and father; this structure allows the child a proper and balanced upbringing. Due to these reservations, the TCP cannot support this bill as it stands. |

Message | Homosexuals are allowed to adopt already. This has nothing to do with homosexuals, and personally, we don't see what the difference is between a homosexual couple and a heterosexual couple when it comes to raising children. |
Date | 07:59:50, April 21, 2007 CET | From | Left Libertarian Party | To | Debating the Adoption Eligibility Act |
Message | We largely want to allow singles to adopt so that they can take in children who would otherwise be raised in an orphanage. The bill has been modified so that couples will be able to adopt first. |
Date | 07:47:39, April 23, 2007 CET | From | Somasi Nationalist Party (SNP) | To | Debating the Adoption Eligibility Act |
Message | Whilst the members of the SNP are largely divided on this issue, the progressive wing slightly outweighs the conservative wing on this issue. |
Date | 09:45:57, April 23, 2007 CET | From | Aldegar Freedom Party | To | Debating the Adoption Eligibility Act |
Message | The TCP does not like to cross the floor against our coalition allies, but we regret that in this case we have been forced to do so. |
