Bill: Military reform 2392
Details
Submitted by[?]: United Forces of Decay
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2394
Description[?]:
It's possible that chaos will reign in Hutori after the beginning of this war. A civilian police force will have some trouble to secure our cities and villages. The military should take control of this as long as there is war! This is no attempt to create a military state, we just try to make sure that we will win this war and that we won't loose because of organizational problems. Normally we are in favour of chaos and destruction, but not, if chaos and destruction lead to the reign of the Macon Union. We cannot and will not let this happen!! |

Message | The UFD seems determined to use the war as an excuse to crush the liberties of the people. We will not stand for it. |

Message | You don't seem to understand our point of view. The law we proposed is no big difference to the reality though: The current law calles the military in in serious emergencies. This means that the military already acts as a de-facto police, because a war is a serious emergency. The thing that makes it difficult now is that military and police forces have to arrange their actions, which causes confusion and disorder. |

Message | For me, your proposal is fundamentally different from reality. The present law deals with this war perfectly (as it is a serious emergency). |
Date | 13:45:49, April 22, 2007 CET | From | Conservative-Libertarian Party (UM) | To | Debating the Military reform 2392 |
Message | We should not use war as an excuse to limit the liberty of the individual. |
