MessageNo. The federal government must be in charge of determining important policies. This bill only creates regionalism and division in Aldegar. It has been shown in the past that when this occurs, devastating consequences are created. We cannot and will not support. Also, this bill may allow local governments to determine unethical or regressive policies. The dangers of this bill are many.

MessageWe'd support Articles 6-9 without second thought; we might be convinced on Articles 3+4, but we're going to vote no because of Articles 1, 2 and 5. Shrink this down to articles 6-9 and you'll carry our vote on this topic, but otherwise we'll likely vote against.

MessageThe bill has been amended upon the wishes of the LLP and the ALP. We believe this isn't a bill about "big government" or "little government", but putting more power into the hands of the locals who often times know what is best for their particular region. For the same reason conservatives support local control of schools and liberals support "choice", we believe this bill is a step in the right control in the policy arena of state versus federal government.

MessageEven in its shrunken form, we cannot support this bill. We only support articles 1 and 4 because both education and nuclear power of national interest. They must not be entrusted to more inconsistent and possibly abusive local governments.

MessageThe bill has been stripped down at the wishes of the voting members of the Council so that it'll pass. *sheds a tear*

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action.
