Message | Before the opposition cries "Isolationist!", please let the SNP state for the record that Aldegar is one of the largest foreign aid providers and will continue to be a leading contributor of foreign aid to other countries. However, our budget is strained presently and we need to find new ways to fund healthcare, security, and pensions here at home. We will continue to honor our commitments overseas, but we will strengthen our committments at home as a result of this bill. I yield. |

Message | The TCP can see the logic in this - we feel we have more than fulfilled what Rawls would refer to as the 'duty to assist'. We have several financial issues in Aldegar that we need to adress before such extensive foreign aid programs - the TCP believe that there are currently still major flaws and innefficiencies in Aldegar's budget, though, in seeming contrast to the SNP, we believe that healthcare and pension are two fields that we could afford to spend far, far less on. But in essence we agree with the SNP's motives - we need to sort out Aldegar's own economy and budget before considering foreign aid, and as the party have stated, this will not mean that we forget other nation's needs altogether - it simply means we will be able to provide slightly less than the extremely generous offerings we currently give. The TCP will support this bill. This nation's interests must always come first. |

Message | So long as continue to aid others in some way, we can support. |

Message | No, we cannot support. There are too many problems in this volatile world for us to reduce aid. There are no strains on our budget. We should know. We hold the ministry of finance. The lack of a large surplus was created merely to help out the taxpayers of this nation. The budget is perfect for the situation in Aldegar, and taxes are at a comparatively nominal 14% for most of the population. If anything, we are wealthy, currently. As such, we should continue giving the current high levels of foreign aid to areas of need. |

Message | Support fully; if we must take money from the Aldegarian people then at very least it should be used on them in some fashion. |

Message | However, foreign aid is of the utmost importance! It improves the reputation of Aldegar, and it improves the conditions of foreign nations and their people which in turn makes the world safer for Aldegarians and people in general. That is how foreign aid still benefits Aldegarians. |
