Details

Voting deadline: March 2455
Description[?]:
Jacob Arbenz was a politician who led the Valruzian Zapatista Front back in their heyday. He campaigned for years for social and economic justice within Valruz, and to an extent was successfull, had it not been for the True Valruzians and the Restoration Party. After that, he (along with the Zapatistas) moved to Kanjor and liberated that nation from despotic, autocratic rule. He has been celebrated there ever since. We thus propose a city be created in Valruzia, in the Kingdom of Tirkalara, called Arbenzia, in memory of this legendary man, who passed away 20 years ago. |

Message | OOC - Zapatistas may be conceived as this in real life, but this is the game, and 'Zapatista' is a political term. IC - Jacob Arbenz fought his battles in the Federal Consortium, wearing only a suit and tie. He was no bandit. |

Message | We urge the parties of Valruz to support this to commemorate a man who worked tirelessly and diplomatically for Valruz. |

Message | For us this shouldn't be on vote since at the present time because it makes anysense at all to celebrate a person's name that have died more than 200 years. Eventhough I think that we should celebrate every man who fought for a better Valruzia. |

Message | This bill is a waste of time and effort. No person should be put up on a pedistal no matter what their accomplishments were. If people want to remember him, then they will. We don't have to name a city after him and officially "honor his name." |

Random quote: "If democracy is ever to be threatened, it will not be by revolutionary groups burning government offices and occupying the broadcasting and newspaper offices of the world. It will come from disenchantment, cynicism and despair caused by the realization that the New World Order means we are all to be managed and not represented." - Tony Benn |
