Bill: Wealth Redistribution Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Communist Farmers Committee (KCCP)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2396

Description[?]:

Immediate increases are needed in the following sectors. Revolutionary demands may necessitate deficit spending. We will borrow from friendly people's states.

+Head of Government - Increases to this office to double the size of its staff to oversee revolutionary changes. Spending increase to be temporary.

+Internal Affairs - Increases to ensure that the government is run responsibly by loyal communists. Internal Affairs to make revolutionary changes as needed will also necessitate an increased staff.

+Defence - The preservation of our revolution is absolutely necessary. The People's Republic of Egelion will need a strong armed forces to crush the right-wing Republic of Egelion, as well as all captialist reactionary forces which may attempt to aid in the counter-revolution.

+Justice - The security of "red" controlled regions throughout the People's Republic is essential. Captialist spies and sympathizers could be anywhere. They must be arrested and expelled.

+HSS - The People's Republic must begin immediately a People's Health Service, which will provide the people with all their healthcare needs.

+Education - The education of our children has gone embarassingly underfunded. Although this increase is very small compared to where it should be, it is a start.

+Food and Agriculture - The redistribution of land, as well as the possible collectivization of farms and the feeding of millions of hungry proletariat workers requires a large and permanent increase in this sector.

+Trade and Industry - One of the largest increases to pave the way for the nationalization of most of the private sector. Some funds will also need to be transferred to the Infrastructure and Transportation Ministry as nationalization is completed.

MessageI agree with everything proposed except I don't think the HoG needs that much money to do what you have suggest...I personally think the HoG's budget increase is in the wrong ministry, I think it belongs more in foreign affairs. I propose keeping the regular HoG budget, increasing foreign affairs by 3 billion and putting the other 2 billion in education and culture or just putting all 5 billion in Foreign affairs either way would be better than having the money sent to the wrong ministry.
