Why on earth do we have a sprawling national bureaucracy governing the fire service. Surely if there is anything that should be controlled by local governments, it is the fire service - since that is the level of government closest to the people, and so, best able to consult the public on its needs. |

Message | While I see your point about beurocracy, this would mean that working class neighborhoods would have underfunded fire departments will the rich would enjoy total fire protection. So I must vote no. |
