Bill: IP Fire service Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Imperialist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2397

Description[?]:

Why on earth do we have a sprawling national bureaucracy governing the fire service. Surely if there is anything that should be controlled by local governments, it is the fire service - since that is the level of government closest to the people, and so, best able to consult the public on its needs.

MessageWhile I see your point about beurocracy, this would mean that working class neighborhoods would have underfunded fire departments will the rich would enjoy total fire protection. So I must vote no.

Random quote: "I worked at a factory owned by Germans, at coal pits owned by Frenchmen, and at a chemical plant owned by Belgians. There I discovered something about capitalists. They are all alike, whatever the nationality. All they wanted from me was the most work for the least money that kept me alive. So I became a communist." - Nikita Khrushchev
