Bill: Justice Reform Act, July 2396

Details

Submitted by[?]: Party for Freedom, Peace and Future

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2397

Description[?]:

1. A defendant with high income can choose a better lawyer than one with smaller income. We need the state to correct these unequal chances before court.

2. We respect the authority of the medical regulatory body but fear that maybe they could have the tendency to be too friendly with their own collegues. We think in a case of malpractise which causes serious consequences for the patient the case should be investigated and brought before a legal court. It must be possible to make our doctors responsible in cases of mistreatment - for the security of our people, the health care, and also the doctorship as a body. Let's put it medically: if someone endangers the health of the whole body of medicine he must be removed - and a doctor should never operate himself.

3. We think that torture is a violation of human rights in any case.

Random fact: "Game mechanics comes first." For example, if a currently-enforced bill sets out one law, then a player cannot claim the government has set out a contradictory law.
