MessageWe already lowere dit two percent, if we are to have the funds to spend on the betterment of our nation and have the corporations pay a socially responsible rate, we had best keep it at 18 percent. Obviously, we'll vote no.

MessageGiven the recent tax cuts, this is not a prudent move at this time. Clearly, we must keep our tax rates competitive, but the hit in revenue from a cut this deep would imperil our budget and add to our debt load.

We might, however, consider a more moderate corporate tax cut (say, 15%) in return for the NLP's support on the vital issue of allowing school prayer.
