Bill: Integrated Jeffson Plan

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Socialist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2091

Description[?]:

The updated Jeffson Plan provides economic policies for three regions where the economy is unstable: Boruska, Shrin Kali and Morata Valley.

1. All three regions have superb environmental records. Some slight limitations, however, should be provided on industry in Shrin Kali to reduce pollution.
2. Some areas in our extensive system of nation parks should be made open to tourism to revitalise the economy.
3. To further increase tourism, more rail networks should be built between these three regions. Morata Valley is Tukarali's main port, while Boruska borders two other countries. Good transport links are therefore vital.
4. Morata Valley has a relatively skilled workforce and a growing telecom sector. This should be encouraged to prosper as a source of jobs for educated Tukaralians.
5. To stabilise the agricultural sector, farmers on low income should be subsidised.
