Message | No. We risk enabling finacially dictators and warlords, and encouraging negative blow-back from foreign entanglements. This legislation is a bad idea. We shouldn't be wasting more taxpayer on other nations. We already give other nations funding in times of great need. This bill is pure excess and unnecessary. |
Date | 22:39:00, May 20, 2007 CET | From | Party Royale | To | Debating the Internationalism Act |
Message | We support this bill. The MLP's argument that we would be enabling warlords is unfounded; it's not as if we would be giving aid to anyone. There are many nations worse off than Aloria, and it is our responsibilty to see that all citizens of the world are free from hunger and disease. |

Message | Maybe it's their government's fault. We didn't get here with aid. We got here with hard work! We can't spoil other countries that will come to depend on us for everything! Disaster relief is enough, much more and they will see you as their only source of income. They need to learn hard work, it's our form of tough love. |

Message | The CP is under the false impression that "working hard" will necessarily get a person, or nation, somewhere. People work hard their whole lives in sweatshops in some places, and they never get any richer. These people, and nations with these people, need our aid. |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
Random quote: "Socialists like to tout their confiscation and redistribution schemes as noble and caring, but we should ask if theft is ever noble or caring." - Robert Hawes |
