Bill: The Imperial Dynasty

Details

Submitted by[?]: Social Conservative Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2408

Description[?]:

This bill opens up the question, and the offer concerning the Imperial Dynasty.

The issue we would like to ask our fellow parties about is as follows.

1. Is the Imperial Dynasty free to act without the requirement of the Imperial Conclave in matters of dynastic issues ? If not, does the Imperial Conclave have to approve all dynastic matters (marriages for everyone and so forth, or only the heir and Emperor ?).

And this leads me to the matter of Dynastic Matters, a letter was received from his Imperial Highness asking for approval to marry with the Princess of the Kingdom of Hulstria, the young Amelia, Princess of Hulstria. This would improve the relations with Hulstria and give us yet another friend in this world.

MessageSince Wantuni is currently an empire, we believe that the Emperor should decide issues concerning the Imperial blood line.

MessageSo to summarise the Federalist party views here. You are in favour of the Emperor deciding whom he marries, and all that without the concent of the Imperial Conclave. It is naturally so that he must inform his Chancellor of what he intends to do, but you are of the opinion that the Emperor, and the Emperor alone decides this matter.

(OOC: Does that mean that you are of the opinion that as Löwenberg is my character i do as i please with the Imperial Dynasty, roleplaywise ?)

Message{ooc: That's the way I'd see it. You "control" the government at this point, so do as you please with the character. )

The Unitary Capitalist Party is in favor of the Emperor being his own man and the ruler of this nation. The Conclave has jurisdiction only over the areas he decides to give them.

MessageYour summary was correct. It seems foolish to have the Imperial blood line planned by "committee".

The Conclave could express concerns, but in the end, the decision should rest with the Emperor.

Message(OOC: to Wantuni Unitary Capitalist Party. Excellent view if i may so myself:))

Excellent, we are thankfull for the support and im certain his majesty will be also. Then i hereby move this to a vote. Vote yes if you beleive the Emperor should decide theese matters himself (but of course as the Federalist party the Conclave are free to advice the Emperor and express concerns). Vote No if you beleive this should be in the hands of the Conclave to decide.

Message.I am a party from Hutori. May I please remind you that you are marrying Princess Amelia of Hutori and not of Hulstria. Just thought I'd let you know about your new found alliance. Thank you.
