Honourable Legislators,

It has been brought to my attention that your Ministry of Foreign Affairs has proposed a ratification of the Greater Hulstria Free Trade Agreement. Let me be the first to thank both that Ministry and your entire nation for this fantastic demonstration of confidence and friendship. I’m sure I echo the thoughts of all Greater Hulstrians when I say this, we are deeply grateful for your consideration of this treaty of economic friendship and solidarity. However, the battle is not won yet. I appreciate that the only ones who can make a final decision on this issue are the elected representatives of the people of Likaton. Therefore, I have been asked by the government of Greater Hulstria to present a case for ratification.

Greater Hulstria has long been an economic powerhouse in Dovani. From the earliest settlements by Luthori colonists to today, we have faithfully contributed to the global economy. We are blessed with an abundance of natural resources which will be included in this free trade agreement. Among these include gold, copper, foodstuffs, and more modern commodities including heavy machinery et cetera. Mitranian farms are world renowned for their superlative and unmatched cultivation of agricultural produce. The goldmines of Springfontein and lower Hulstria produce much of the world’s gold supply. The ports at Marchau process a large portion of the world’s trade. All of this will be offered at a premium to those who sign this treaty, in addition to securing Greater Hulstrian markets for your own goods.

Should you decide to join with us in this endeavour to bring cohesion and mutual economic prosperity between our glorious nations, I am sure this will be only the beginning of a long and sincere amity between our people. Join with us, good citizens of Likaton, and let us reap the benefits of trade and shared success.

Sincerely,

Rt. Hon. Adriaan can Grootfontein, MP
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Greater Hulstria

MessageWe will support this bill. Our party believes in liberal economics and oopen borders in terms of capital.

We are not confident that the treaty will be ratified this time, however we will work to have it ratified in the future.

MessageWe don't mind this Treaty. It favours positions on the issue that we, in the AM SuDP actually favour.

Unfortunately for this Treaty, of all the things we may be, we are not hypocrites. We have consistently opposed any Treaty that limits the absolute freedom of the sovereign process of government in Likatonia... and, unrestrictive though this is... and sympathetic though we are to it's direction... that means we cannot support a Treaty of this kind.
