Message | As this treaty will surely pass in the Telamon government (495 seats for it, 71 against, 35 abstain), there is no reason why we shouldn't ratify it, even if the pro-Union parties don't like it, we have to stop this silly war. |
Date | 16:51:30, May 24, 2007 CET | From | Sensible Parity | To | Debating the Ratification of the Ihmetellä-Ferescia Accords |
Message | Ms. Dynamis hoped that Hutori has learned its lesson about rushing into imperfect treaties. Isn't that what got us into this mess in the first place? |

Message | The treaty is just imperfect to those who still think that the late Union is still alive. |
Date | 17:01:08, May 24, 2007 CET | From | Sensible Parity | To | Debating the Ratification of the Ihmetellä-Ferescia Accords |
Message | Ms. Dynamis understands that the government wants Sensible Parity's vote on this, but not Sensible Parity's input. This treaty was drafted over our objections and based on text that was shot down by parliament. Sensible Parity has been treated poorly by the government at every turn even though our support is needed for this to pass. Ms. Dynamis is beginning to wonder. . . is the government being intentionally rude to her party to trick us into voting no? Why would the government _want_ the treaty to fail? Although Sensible Parity is no longer the lead opposition party, Ms. Dynamis has issued a call for subpeonas of all government communications with defence industries and possible Telamon spies to identify why exactly the GKF-led government wants to kill the treaty. |

Message | The only reason this text was shot down, was that there was one mistake in it (naval shipping). This has been corrected. The Sensible Parity never said what else it didn't like with this treaty, but simply voted either no, or abstained. Therefore, the one Party that is killing this treaty without any reason, as we can easily understand why the Macon Nationalists are against it, is the Sensible Parity, whose "work" in this country has been nothing but destructive until now. |

Message | .Come on this silly war has been going on long enough, please don't scupper this project. |

Message | "We're actually considering voting for ratification. We're a perfectly sane party with Hutori's best interests at heart. We need a promise from the government however (and we'll be asking Telamon's UCA about this as well) that the misuse of the word "nations" in the first sentence will never be misconstrued to indicate Telamon or Hutori's recognition of each other as nations in this particular document. That's all we want. A promise that these Accords are only supposed to end the war, and not grant either side recognition (or, on the other hand, deny) as being a nation." -Cecilia Roberts MNP, MP |

Message | In this case, I'm afraid the text is quite clear. If the MNP still ceases to vote yes if Telamon recognises Hutori as a nation, and vice versa, there's nothing that can be done about this. - Aurelianus Archemid, Prime Minister |

Message | "Then the Accords will not pass and this war will not end. Blame can be laid at the feet of the obstinate opposition." -Roberts |
