MessageNo this simply means that we take into account the size of a family in addition to how much money the family makes. If you have a larger family, you also have higher expenses - even if you are, say, middle class than a single poor person. When the state fails to support such families, parents will be less able to provide for their children.

On top of this, large families and high population growth are in the interest of Telamon. We must strive to outpace our enemies in terms of population, giving us a more productive economy, and greater importance on the world stage.

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation.
