Bill: Refugees Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Luthori Christian Women's Association
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2411
Description[?]:
Charity is one of the most important components of our Christian faith. Luthori is fortunate enough to have lots of churches and voluntary groups - staffed largely by women - who give time and money to help those who are in need. Luthorians should be allowed to extend their compassion to those who have been persecuted abroad - often for their religious beliefs. The governmnent's current law on refugees is far too restrictive. Message | How can we expect the Accord to believe that we invaded Beitenyu out of compassion for our persecuted Christian brothers and sisters when we will not accept Artanian Christian refugees who are persecuted by foreign heathens? If this bill does not pass, it will make the job of our negotiator even harder. |
