Details
Submitted by[?]: Radical Nationalist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2412
Description[?]:
The Nationalist Party calls on the resignation of Everitt Diggory of the United Republican Party. He has recently incited his supporters to murder when he said the following statement: "now we just have to string him up on a street corner." This is inapropriate for any member of parliment to say to his supporters or in public at all, Politicians of Lodamun should be role models to the citizens. |

Message | While we agree with the esteemed Nationalist Party's view that Mr. Diggory's comments were inexcusable, perhaps resignation is a bit much? If Mr. Diggory (or even one of his representatives) were to issue a public apology, Free Lodamun would be willing to put this whole ugly business behind us. We all know how heated the political arena can become, if the People of the 5 Kingdoms feel this faux pas was enough to sully Mr. Diggory and his party, I'm sure they will do the resigning for us. However, if Mr. Diggory remains unrepentant, a change in leadership may be needed.. |

Message | The LDP must concur with the conclusions of the Free Lodamuns. Considering some of PM Griffin's recent public actions, we must bellieve that this strong reaction is the result of an overheating of the political climate between the two largest parties. If that is so, allow those of us that are outside of this relationship to be a moderate voice. The LDP calls on Mr. Diggory to a public apology. This bill may have been better left in debate longer, in our opinion. |

Message | two parties who just entered this nation are already making moral judgements? Leader Diggory will not resign for a joke. Prime Minister Nick Griffin should be the one to resign. He's the one who banned interracial sex; he's the one who segregated the army; he's the one who wanted to torture our people; he's the one who nationalized industry after industry in Lodamun; he's the one who single-handedly rewrote the constitution renaming the States-General and stripping smaller parties of their right to form coalitions. |

Message | Everything that has been done has been done within the law, with a democratic mandate given to the Nationalist Party by the citizens of Lodamun. Inciting supporters to murder is far from within the law. As for the cabinet changes that was done to prevent lots of different cabinets being proposed throwing the government of Lodamun into dissaray. The NP has given Lodamun stability and prosperity, we have defended our monarchy and traditions from the terroist Republicans that your party wants to give into. |

Message | The age of a political party has no bearing on morality. There is right and wrong. Despite political differences with the NP, they have a point. While Mr. Diggory's resignation may serve a political purpose for the NP, I can assure you that it serves none with me. Please keep in mind that both Free Lodamun and the LDP want only an apology, not his (political) head. There is a code of conduct that representatives of the 5 Kingdoms need to hold themselves to. Your man broke that. We're all here to fix the things you mentioned about the PM; but they need to be done in a civil and proper manner. |

Message | The Nationalist Party feel an apology would be a step in the right direction however, we feel that more should be done. The NP do see that we will not get an resignation and ask for at least an apology. |

Message | Our's is a "no" with the uderstanding that there will, in fact, be an apology issued. Barring that, perhaps a vote of no confidence is in order. It is important for a man, a leader, to stand by his actions and take responsibility for them. |

Message | Based on my recent entry into the poltical debate here, I see no need to challenge the current order. I would be happy, based on the above evidence, to accept an apology. |
