Bill: Call for early elections, July 2089
Details
Submitted by[?]: Kemetia-Aldegar Unionist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill requests an early election. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline. Elections will be held immediately if the bill passes.
Voting deadline: March 2090
Description[?]:
We, the Kemetia-Aldegar Unionist Party, call for early elections as soon as we can reach a consensus. This is because the Monarchist Party holds 92 seats and we believe that it would better serve us all to redestribute these seats amoung the opposition party's. I was wrong to call for monarchy and now believe we should work and vote together to oust the Monarchist Party. |
Proposals
Article 1

Message | The last elections were too recent to be holding new ones already - let's wait a little while first... |

Message | Guys, the monarchist party holds 92 seats. These could be redestributed amoung ourselves because the Monarchist party has abstained from the last 12 or more bills. This means that they will lose seats to us who have been voting. The major problem here is that we need 161 people to vote yes to get new elections. I would suggest that the D.A. vote for this since it will defenitly give you more seats. I Also think that the small party's should vote on this to win them more seats. |

Message | The Monarchist Party very nearly won the Premiership in September 2088, despite a long and recent record of abstentions. Another election - so soon after the last one - might not necessarily produce an unfavourable resullt for them. How about we wait until at least 2091...? By then, if they've continued to abstain on legislation, they will hopefully be more likely to be penalsied by the electorate... |

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining. |
