Message | I agree that it seems odd to have elections for a purely ceremonial head of state. So either this, or having a hereditary and symbolical head of state. It's fine with me either way. |

Message | This isn't about me. After next elections I'll probably won't be president anymore, so it doesn't matter what I can or cannot stand. :) |

Message | I think we should give the President more power: let him propose Cabinets... I do think we need a seperation of powers so the Parliament is still checked... |

Message | The head of state and head of government are different and the functions of these are different as well. The head of government is the one who heads the cabinet that is formed from the majority of parties. The head of state has as function to represent ALL Kirlawans. The Kirlawans elect the person who they think is the best to represent the country. By letting the president propose cabinets, his impartiality is diminished because we know that it will automatically lead to an inclusion of the president's party in the cabinet. It is not necessary so that the largest party automatically supplies the president, which in this case is so. If the head of state is also head of government we get a 2 party-state. So we prefer to keep the law as it is, or else go for a kingdom. I think we could see if it is possible to modify the game in the future that the head of state gets the right to call for early elections, after a non-confidence bill has passed parliament. |

Message | A higher office (i.e. the President) should be kept in place in order to keep the government in check, otherwise the prime minister would be able to do whatever he wants, with little opposition. We maybe wrong but that is how we see it. We will vote to keep the status quo. |

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with. |
