Message | No. If the industries arent failing, there is no reason to nationalize them. |

Message | Public energy companies are generally less likely to have massive brownouts, tend to provide more cost effective power, and are never going to pull out, stranding millions without light or heat. |

Message | Oftentimes, competition doesn't exist in this type of industry because there may only be one provider in the area. So no competition, no supporting argument for capitalism. Besides, why look for a cheaper, cleaner energy source when you can raise rates in respond to demand for fuel? In the government system, any profit can be pushed towards funding research. It can be used to provide to the poor, a normally economically unviable decison. The rates in cities can help to provide efficient power to the rural areas, something overlooked by many companies. A public power infrastructure can also avoid major blackout byand it is easier to find the source of one in such a sytem. |

Message | So if the energy company has problems, THEN nationalize it. NOT before. |
