Bill: Refugees Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Luthori Christian Women's Association
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2413
Description[?]:
Charity is one of the most important components of our Christian faith. Luthori is fortunate enough to have lots of churches and voluntary groups - staffed largely by women - who give time and money to help those who are in need. Luthorians should be allowed to extend their compassion to those who have been persecuted abroad - often for their religious beliefs. The governmnent's current law on refugees is far too restrictive. Message | Let us not forget our thousands of Christian brothers and sisters who fled the Heathen Caliphate of Beitenyu when the Godless scum started oppressing Christians and Jews, forcing us to invade in order to protect them. Where would we have evacuated the Christians to at the end of that war, had we not at the time had a more flexible policy towards genuine refugees? |

Message | I'm sure the national government can pass an emergency exception bill in future circumstances, if cases such as the one above are repeated. |
