Message | If a citizen wishes to put their money on the line, they can do it at a casino. Encouraging reckless gambling isn't going to do anything good for our nation. |

Message | The GNP would back this proposal as it is not the governments position to tell a citizen what they can or can't do. It is also the right of a citizen to do with their money what they want, after all they earned it. |
Date | 03:45:47, August 04, 2005 CET | From | People's Progressive Party | To | Debating the Reducing the regulation of gambling |
Message | We agree with this legislation, it is wrong to legislate whether people can or cannot consensually play a game in their house for money. However, any gamblinh outside the home definately needs to be done in a licensed casino. We'll support. |
Date | 05:11:04, August 04, 2005 CET | From | Democratic Centre Party of Gaduridos | To | Debating the Reducing the regulation of gambling |
Message | I'm afraid I don't agree. There is no way to regulate what kind of gambling goes on in a private home. This will allow unsavory elements to handle tens of thousands of dollars in sports betting, or to run a numbers racket. |
