These messages have been posted to debate on this bill:
Date | 14:57:55, June 08, 2007 CET | From | Democratic Party of Dorvik | To | Debating the Workers' Protection Act III |
Message | The CDD can support articles 2 & 4 as they're reasonable and improve the position of workers with little expense for enterpreuners. However we cannot support articles 1 & 3 as they would seriously hamper enterpreunership, investments and hard working in this nation while giving power for trade unions to rule as they wish with the backing of favourable government, even reducing government power itself. Thus we will oppose this bill. * Minister of Finance Marcus Ostrander |
Date | 02:22:11, June 10, 2007 CET | From | Dorvish Popular Front | To | Debating the Workers' Protection Act III |
Message | We dissaprove of the DLUP's reformist approach to workers rights. Clearly, as demonstrated by the CDD's response, workers can never be fully free or have anything close to basic human rights under a capitalist system. Whilst we vote yes as a valuable step in the right direction, the DLUP are sorely mistaken if they believe compromise with the capitalists holds the answer to the problem of workers rights. |
Date | 17:20:51, June 10, 2007 CET | From | Democratic Labour and Unionist Party | To | Debating the Workers' Protection Act III |
Message | The DLUP seeks to advance the interests of its member trade and industrial unions. And while we respect the views of our comrades in the Communist Party, we disagree with their anti-negotiation beliefs. We feel that the best way to protect the rights of Dorvik's workers is through the democratic legislative process that can only occur with the involvement of all people, including capitalists. |

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections. |
