Message | OOC:Those who think taking an honsest mans firearm from him will make others safe is foolish, and quite frankly must be the victim of inbreading. Look at crime stats in the UK. Violent crime has risen steadly, much the same in Australia. There, fools thought the exact same as was I have seen time and again from the likes of ABCD. Virginia Tech here in the US had a gun ban as well, and as we all know that worked wonderfully. I'll end this with Pull your heads from your ass and enter the real world. |

Message | Oh yes, because clearly if we ban guns the criminals are simply going to give them up to the authorities! Yes, that makes perfect sense! What a nice notion, criminals following the law... ...Right. This only serves to disarm law-abiding citizenry and nothing else. To do that would be a travesty. If anything we should be laxifying our firearms laws. |

Message | This is in concept merely "feel good" legislation. It works towards no real end in solving societal problems. This proposal is indicative of an impotent body passing impotent legislation that does no more to serve the people then good intentions and best wishes. The Falls Party will not support imposing further restrictions on the freedoms of the people based on ideas that no basis in statistical fact to improve saftey or peace with in the nation. This issue is the tip of much deeper ones involving poverty, lack proper education, and supporting moral values. A gun does not make a moral man a killer, and taking away guns doesnt make killers moral men. |

Message | OOC: When was the last time schoolkids shot their classmates in the UK? A firearms bans makes them harder to get hold of. |

Message | OOC:http://news.monstersandcritics.com/uk/news/article_1278670.php/Third_arrest_after_school_shooting No friend of facts are you? Banning guns does not stop crime of any sort. |

Message | OOC: Very funny! BB guns? Bruised hands? You really think this isn't an improvement on the multiple homocides we would be dealing with had firearms been more readily available in the UK? |

Message | OOC: You asked and I gave you the answer. A shooting is a shooting. And under UK law, they should never have had said weapon. Now, clearly that law did not stop them at 12 years old, and it is greatly foolish to believe others will not get access to a firearm if they so desire. Also, people in the UK are calling for a ban on knives. I simple knive? Hell no, that's not right.. It leads any sane person to realize the people over there are Spineless. Clearly you are in that club. |

Message | OOC: Firearms controls have worked pretty well over here - weapons are only used by the most serious organised criminals and we have agencies more than capable of dealing with them. I am immensly proud of the fact that I live one of the few remaining countries that are so civilised the rule of law can be still be maintained with little more than a truncheon (like a nightstick but shorter) and a whistle. |
