From | Capitalists for Prosperity | To | Debating the Budget proposal of March 2415 | Message | You do realize that I wiped 10 trillion dollars from the bill, don't you? Anyway, what's wrong with the defense budget? Defense is very important. It also happens to be very expensive. Look at the previous budget for something really insane. Defense was only 1/6 of a percent then.
Also, don't think of this budget allocation in terms of dollars. I think the Gaduridos dollar is worth that much. |

From | Gaduri Resistencia | To | Debating the Budget proposal of March 2415 | Message | Under your current budget, 3.5% of everything anybody earns goes towards buying tanks. Great. We're not at war and nobody's likely to start one, so why do we need them? |

From | Gaduri Resistencia | To | Debating the Budget proposal of March 2415 | Message | Reducing the budget this quickly would cock up the nation anyway. You cant expect private industry to start up that quickly, especially when nobody has any money. |

From | Capitalists for Prosperity | To | Debating the Budget proposal of March 2415 | Message | First of all, we happen to be surrounded by communist countries. With the recent, glorious, capitalist revolution, those countries are likely to be a little more hostile.
Second of all, this is a game. There is no need for being subtle in changing the economy. Besides, we owe it to the electorate to give them what they want, and what they want is capitalism. |

From | Capitalists for Prosperity | To | Debating the Budget proposal of March 2415 | Message | Think of it this way. We'll be employing a lot of people, which looking at the unemployment rate during your reign, is a good thing. Besides, it never hurts to have a strong military, especially when considering the possibility of communist rebellion. |

From | Gaduri Resistencia | To | Debating the Budget proposal of March 2415 | Message | Y'know it's a well known fact that soldiers tend to be very prone to being communists. Especially when the minister of defence is one.
Also, economic statistics on this game are completely unrelated to any proposed bills. |

From | Capitalists for Prosperity | To | Debating the Budget proposal of March 2415 | Message | Which country are you from? Soldiers tend to lean towards the views of their country. In a communist country, the soldiers are then going to tend to be communists. So, I assume that you GCCPs are talking about a communist country's soldiers. |

From | Capitalists for Prosperity | To | Debating the Budget proposal of March 2415 | Message | Are you sure they weren't less radical socialists? Those countries you mentioned are more socialist than capitalist. So, it's only natural that the soldiers are socialists. |

From | Gaduri Resistencia | To | Debating the Budget proposal of March 2415 | Message | Hah... no. Anyway, soldiers tend towards the national ideology, being patriotic types, and under a communist minister of defence they're therefore mostly commies. |
