MessageFL and LDP will not negotiate in good faith on matters central to Lodamun, therefore 'For the Good of the Republic' (trademark) URP must call for new elections for one last ditch effort to abolish this false monarchy.

MessageIn our party's defense our message sent to the URP in response to their generous offers best sums up our position:

"Putting aside our declaration of leadership incompatibility for a moment...

...you must understand that this republic question is an extremely polarizing issue. Creating a republic is not a priority for us, and therefore we see no need to join one of the two sides, thereby assuring the loss of cooperation from the valuable "other side."

We can and would operate well under a full republic and would give a republic our full support if established. However, neither democracy in general nor our priority issues in particular are hindered by the current constitutional monarchy, and therefore we give it the same respect we would give any other majority-elected style of government.

We gratefully acknowledge the generosity of the URP during these discussions, but our abstention from this matter is deliberate."

MessagePehaps we could consider honoring the democratic process? Just a thought. These constant calls for early elections are a mockery to our system.
