Bill: Acte pour l'Expression Libre, [Partie 2] 2416
Details
Submitted by[?]: Union Démocrate Libertarien
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2416
Description[?]:
Another aspect of this Free Expression which the UDL wishes to support is the deregulation of media content to provide for free viewing by all citizens. While objections may exist on moral grounds, it is important to note that Freudian psychoanalysis and psychology in general does indicate that repression is not healthy for the mind itself. If there are any objections to the airing of certain programs at certain times, one can choose not to watch or listen to those programs. In our opinion, the issue before us, colleagues, is quite straight-forward. |

Message | We consider that expression freedom is one thing and protection of childrens another. We moreover consider that this legislation would give a really poor image of our country in foreign countries. We therefore will vote against this bill, We also regret that a single party could flow the votes and have a majority by itself, this leads to anything but democracy Charlotte Magne Education and Culture Policy Chair, ADER |

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation. |
