Bill: The people have spoken on national sport bill.

Details

Submitted by[?]: The Unified Lodamun Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2418

Description[?]:

After the elections, we feel that we are completley within our right to bring this back up as the URP shot this down, and the people shot him down. We at the Unified Lodamun Party cannot figure any other reason for the election results aside from this.

MessageIt is the more international of sports. This is all I can muster beyond a rousing "who cares." I do prefer this over american football.

I'm surprised we can find something to agree on, LDP.
Favorite club?

MessageHmm...OOC? I really just began to enjoy the game about a year ago - I'm an American, we come late to the party. I haven't yet made any real connections with any European teams. The Columbus Crew from the MLS is the closest thing I have to a hometown club, but they've been awful for 5 or 6 years. You?

MessageI don't like any clubs in my country, but I am a fan of the European leagues. I've several favorite clubs, categorized by country, but I have currently 3 most favorites:
- Liverpool F.C. (England)
- Leeds United, still loyal even though it is currently shit (England)
- A.S. Roma (Italy)
For national teams, I favor my country, though we are shit, and Argentina.

MessageOh, yeah...nationally I'm a big fan of the ol' US of A, of course. What IS your country, by the way?

MessageAh...yeah, I haven't seen them make a big splash on the international football scene recently. Interesting.

MessageI have offered to change the sport to just football. I ask why we must make it football (soccer)?

MessageI'll vote for this, but as much as i hate to say it, I agree with urp. That's a compromise everyone can support. Let's see how this vote works out and if it fails, I'll support just "football." Or as a homage to the Koreans, "Starcraft"

MessageI don't like watching specific teams per se, I like specific styles of play, and therefore teams that employ those styles. Obviously, I love the U.S., but they are not direct enough. We hold possession for 55 percent of matches against the best in the world, seriously, however we lose 2-0 in those very same matches because we aren't direct enough. Argentina and Italy are fairly direct, and we are extremely annoyed by German style football. Its just not pretty, much more like American football than soccer. They try to play so that the bigger, faster team wins, not the team that plays the best. If I were forced to pick a team though, I'd be forced to pick Buron Munich (sp). The reason has nothing to do with German, and everything to do with being in Munich on Champtions day a few years back, and having a giant load of BM fans surround me singing and chanting. The leader stepped forward and asked a friend I if we were for or against them. We asked what would happen if we were against them. He said that their were 60 of them, and two of us, and they had lots of face paint, and silly string. Brian and I looked at each ohter, and immediately stated that we were forever Byron Munich fans.

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there.
