MessageI've hesitated over this, but in reality what is the difference between a gate and a locked door? Should we just legislate that everyone kee their doors unlocked?

MessageI have mixed feelings about this. I'm no fan of gated communities, but I would like to see some debate.

MessageGated communities are akin to apartheid. The elite want to insulate themselves while their workers suffer. We can't allow that.

MessageHaving considered this for a while, I think it may be too authoritarian for my liking. I would be more likely to vote for the option that allows for government- and privately-owned gated communities. As I say, I dislike gated communities, but I can't bring myself to deny our citizens their right to live in them should they wish to.
