Message | People have a right to do what they want with their bodies, but we have to consider at what a foetus becomes a human being and therefore has a right to life. Since a baby born prematurely during the third trimester can survive by itself, it seems reasonable to assume that during the third trimester a foetus should have a right to life. That said, we would support liberalising the abortion law. If you change the proposal to it being allowed in the first trimester, we will vote yes. |

Message | I'm afraid we could only support a bill allowing it in the first trimester for now. |

Message | We are classical liberals- we beleive in the free market, small government, and absolute civil liberties. That may sound like libertarians, however we set a higher standard on what citizens need protection from, and we also support public education. |

Message | Absolute civil liberties? Like having the right to an abortion? A right for a human being to have? |

Message | And studes say that the baby can only survive out of the womb in the third trimester not the first or the second. |

Message | Yes, we acknowledge that in our first post, however does that mean they are not a person? Absolute civil liberties, yes. Ideally we would like to support abortion, since people should have the right to do as they wish with their own bodies, but, as civil liberties goes, the right to life is a big one. |
