MessageWe feel the education system has a responsibility to teach children the basics of sex education, within the context of good Christian teaching about marriage and respect for each other. Children have a right to know what is happening to their bodies as they go through the turmoil of adolescence. Sex education also reduces the risk of STDs and unwanted pregnancies.

MessageWe've just realised that the present policy already empowers parents with a choice. All they need to do is find out the policies of their children's prospective schools and send them to one that doesn't teach sexual education if that's what they prefer. Such a school would always be available if there were sufficient demand.

MessageAgreed, giving the schools the option gives the market of demand the control.
