Date | 16:54:49, August 05, 2005 CET | From | People's Party for Freedom and Democracy | To | Debating the Deregulation of Marriage |
Message | The People's Party for Freedom and Democracy agree with this bill. We agree that consenting adults should be allowed to get married. However we only have authority over civil marriages, church marriages are a matter of the church and should stay that way. |
Date | 16:59:23, August 05, 2005 CET | From | Social-Liberal Party | To | Debating the Deregulation of Marriage |
Message | We are pleasantly surpised that the Liberty Party is proposing a bill that is normally regarded as a traditional SLP issue. Naturally, this bill carries our full support. |

Message | We thank all parties for their support so far. We would never say that the SLP or any other party has a monopoly on morality. |

Message | Of course not. The SLP tries to be a voice of reason, a quality we believe every human being essentially posesses. |

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
