Bill: Clean Air Enforcement Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: New Democratic Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2421
Description[?]:
The New Democratic Party believes that Lodamun has provided "pollution prevention guidelines" without enforcement long enough that most industry has had adequate time to meet the standards. Since it makes little sense to set guidelines without enforcement, we will now begin to enforce moderate restrictions. As we have stated, it is the position of the NDP that corporations cannot be solely responsible for determining their own required levels of conservation. As they are intrinsically more concerned with profit than our natural resources--including clean, breathable air--it falls to the State to provide and enforce basic regulations. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government regulation of pollution in industry.
Old value:: The government provides pollution prevention guidelines, but does not enforce them.
Current: The government enforces highly restrictive industrial pollution standards.
Proposed: The government enforces moderate pollution restrictions.
