Bill: Armed Forces and Weaponry Reformation Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Democratic Social and Labour Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2421
Description[?]:
This Bill will attempt to remove the chances of a disastrous nuclear conflict in the region by decommissioning our nuclear weapons stockpile. This does not constitute a reduction in military spending, as we understand the importance of a strong military for national defence and international peacekeeping missions. We would in the next budget support an increase in the size of the Royal Navy by funding three next-generation Aircraft Carriers and twelve new Destroyers to be based in a new naval base on the South Coast. |

Debate
These messages have been posted to debate on this bill:
Date | 16:46:03, June 29, 2007 CET | From | Liberal Party of Hutori | To | Debating the Armed Forces and Weaponry Reformation Act |
Message | The Liberal Party of Hutori will not vote for any bill for any kind of military disarmament or prohibition of use. While other nations allow the use of weapons such as those proposed to be controlled by this bill, The Most Royal and Serene Kingdom of Hutori cannot afford to put herself at risk disallowing themselves the use of particular weapons and tactics. It will be a dent in national pride. |

Message | Yes it was only support. We acknowledge the current Government and our suggestion for the Navy was just that, a suggestion. |

Message | Great, you propose to make Hutori a sitting duck, great thinking. |
Date | 10:30:04, June 30, 2007 CET | From | Democratic Social and Labour Party | To | Debating the Armed Forces and Weaponry Reformation Act |
Message | No, we will retain a strong military and only remove those weapons that would lead to disastrous consequences. The DSLP wishes to propose a regional treaty for Nuclear Disarmament with other regional powers in the near future. |

Random fact: In cases where players introduce RP laws to a nation and then leave, Moderation reserves the discretion to declare the RP laws void if they appear to have fallen into disuse. In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left. |
