Bill: Extension of Aid Bill, 2091

Details

Submitted by[?]: Social Dynamist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2094

Description[?]:

Following on from the previous aid bill, which established a list of approved charities to which the United Tribes now make annual donations, this bill would increase the donations to 0.75% of GDP.

Naturally, the premise of the donations will be that no money may be handed to foreign governments, but is to be spent on ground-level projects from famine relief, to vital infrastructure development, to education projects.

MessageTukaralians will come first - this bill will not change that at all. It is merely that we do not wish the world's poorest to be *so* distant a second.

MessageSince no party has ever had any inclination to try to show that this bill will put Tukaralians second, and to clear the list of bills in debate stage, we'll put this one to the vote.

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI).
