Message | We would kindly advise Democracy Now! to check the debates for the Socialist Treaty of Al'Badara, International Proletariat Government Convention, and the "lowering parliamentary seats" debates, in which an absolute majority elected at the nadir of party activity used single-party treaties to codify their domestic policy preferences over the voracious and substantive opposition of the CDU/FP/FA/MP bloc and actively attempted to shutter opposition access by slashing the seats in the Grand Majelis from their historic 750 to their current size, a cut of almost 90%, and balked at repeated calls for early elections in spite of the fact that their election was a fluke. If anything, the current majority has attempted to liberalize governance in Al'Badara, by attempting -- twice! -- to cut the term the legislature is in session, liberalizing proposal limits, and giving wider berth to the parties to propose cabinets. Do we have a legislative agenda? To be sure. But, then again, so do you and the RP-PM bloc: You're more than entitled to propose overturning any and all laws passed by the opposition and, I should hope, if your arguments are superior, you shall win the day. But to attempt to censure us for tyranny of the majority after what the RP-PM bloc did last session is disingenuous and intellectually dishonest. |

Message | OOC: Eh, I expect not to be treated well with my party. IN: I'm not exactly sure what you're getting at here. I'm trying to RAISE the number of seats in the legislature and CUT the term time from the maxium possible amount allowed to a more reasonable middle ground. Also, to lump DN! in with the RP-PM bloc is a clear misunderstanding of our politics. Again, I'm not exactly sure what you're getting at. In fact, DN! brought up this issue because it found in the archives a painfully shot down proposal by the Monarchy Party (of all parties) to bring about more democracy and raise the seats to 750. |

Message | [OOC: If anything, I feel like the odd party out when I see that the PM-RP are vs. the rest of you, and I often swing between the two groups on issues] |

Message | There is no need to slander the People's Mujaheddin, we clearly stated that we would support an expansion of the legislature after the election due to economic reasons. |

Message | I slander no one, PM. I simply say that this will prevent oppression by the majority whoever it may be; either the Christian Democratic Union, yourself, or even Democracy Now!. |
