MessageI'm scared for the day when you get into power. I'm guessing that the next election after that, should it go bad for you, will probably be called a "serious emergency".

As for the first proposal, if you're going to go for a private defence industry, why not go the whole hog and get rid of our nationalised defence? It doesn't make any sense to run both public and have private defence contractors, mainly because of the cost. But then, my party likes things the way they are.

MessageHahahah very funny... Esspecially for a guy who sits on his arse voting agaisnt all bills to keep a Political Ally and stay in power.

Im scared on how things are going with you and him IN POWER.... When I get to power I would pass Bills to help the people Not frget about the people and just act like a sarcastic dick.

And anyhow we wouldnt use the private defense contractors other nations would it would bring trade jobs and economic growth.

We would use our own at the same time bring some outside growth in this area to our economy.

MessageOOC: You really need to settle down. See, what you've done in terms of personal insults (dick, asshole, etc) is far worse than what you received. I'm not going to go bitch to the moderators (becuase I'm not going to get cut by some insults over the internet and then throw a massive tantrum) but I will ask you to grow a thicker skin in response to two minor insults and a lot of sarcasm. Its what this nation's political system is built on. If you don't like it, feel free to find a new nation.

MessageOP: Could you please explain why you think article II is a bad idea? The United States will send the coast guard during emergencies and that seems to be a good system. It never hurts to have options. What if the police force isn't big enough to handle a certain riot?

MessageNo, the UIF has missed the sublety in my first point.

The government controls the police and military but currently they cannot work together. Each represent a rather sizeable coercive force on their own. Combined with a powermad lunatic at the helm, who knows what could happen? Say we change the laws regarding freedom of assembly to the point where public gatherings can be broken up for any reason (presumably under the guise of "public safety" and claiming legitimate protesters are "rioting"). Futher say the military and police are effectively one force in domestic matters. Who could stand up against that? At least as it stands now we can wave a couple of pieces of paper in front of potential lunatics (looking at you UIF) that will hopefully contain said lunatics.

Luckily, our Praetor is currently a pair of pants. But if the Crimson Entente, any of the various National parties or whatever, come back...
