MessageI disagree. People learn from people, including their fellow students. It is important for children to develop social abilities. School is very important therefore. We would vote against this proposal.

MessageThe Social Democrats believe that schools are most suited for education. Parents cannot guarantee a good education because their cannot be an effective control system. We also believe the social system of a school is essential to developing a child's personality.

MessageStudies show that homeschool-raised children suffer from no social problems, and often perform better on standardized testing. Obviously home-school students would be tested on the same basic curriculum, so if the kids aren't learning then they don't move up, same as with any other schooling.

MessageFor urban areas that may be true, but in rural areas there is virtually no control on home schooling.

MessageIf home schooling was permitted, we would need some kind of exams for parents to have children ... besides the physical test.
Children have to keep going to approved schools where they can learn what we wa ... what's best for them.

MessageI happened to grow up in a rural area... Believe me, the curriculum is pretty strict. Besides, if they don't learn what they need, they don't get promoted, assuming the assessment tests are hard enough.
